Moonflower Press is an independent publisher dedicated to high quality, beautifully written and illustrated children’s books in English, French & Spanish.
Gina Gallois, author and owner of Moonflower Press, is a former French professor, married to a Frenchman with whom she is raising two bilingual children.
Our first title, Opossum Opposites, was released on February 22, 2020. Since then, our catalog has increased to include Mama Opossum’s Misadventures, Opossums to the Rescue, Cats and Dogs Make the Best of Friends, I Don’t Want to be Scary on Halloween, Cicada City, Moth Metamorphosis, and Quantum Possum.
Select titles are available in Spanish and in French. We believe in the value of learning a second language, whether in the home with parents of different backgrounds, at school, or as a hobby. Our books are here to help!
Each version of the book is translated with great attention to detail and respect for linguistic and cultural differences, while maintaining playful, engaging rhymes and language.
Gina translates her book into French herself, calling on Marilène Haroux, a friend from grad school to help with final edits. Another trusted grad school friend, Maria Moreno, translates Spanish versions.
