Moonflower Press is an independent publisher dedicated to high quality, beautifully written and illustrated children’s books in English, French & Spanish.
Our first title, Opossum Opposites, was released on February 22, 2020. Since then, our catalog has increased to include Mama Opossum’s Misadventures, Opossums to the Rescue, Cats and Dogs Make the Best of Friends, and I Don’t Want to be Scary on Halloween. All are available in English and in French. Opossum Opposites is available in Spanish as well and other Spanish translations are on the way.
We believe in the value of learning a second language, whether in the home with parents of different backgrounds, at school, or as a hobby. Our books are here to help.
Each version of the book is translated with great attention to detail and respect for linguistic and cultural differences, while maintaining playful, engaging rhymes and language.
Gina Gallois, author and owner of Moonflower Press, is a former French professor, married to a Frenchman with whom she is raising two bilingual children.
Gina translated her book into French herself, calling on Marilène Haroux, a friend from grad school to help with final edits. Another trusted grad school friend, Maria Moreno, translated Opossum Opposites into Spanish and is currently working on Mama Opossum’s Misadventures.

Quantum Possum is an inclusive, neurodivergence-affirming graphic novel taking readers on a wacky & frequently sidetracked adventure through Cosmic Bog, rescuing creatures in need and including everyone in the fun.
